My Review:
A beautifully told Indian love story.
Laila Sood came from a traditional Indian family, but she
was far from traditional. She was the
rebel of the family. Instead of settling
down and having a family, she chose to pursue a career in music. When Laila met Dr. Hari Singh, she was
instantly attracted to him, but knew there could be no future between them. Hari was supposed to be matched with her
cousin. Plus, Laila didn’t do
relationships. Little did Laila know,
Hari was exactly who she needed in her life to help her become the person she
was truly meant to be.
I couldn’t get enough of this book. I was curious about Laila from the first book in the Sood Family series, A New Mantra, and couldn’t wait to learn more about her and her rock star life. I was also curious about who she would finally fall in love and settle down with. Laila’s story was even better than I expected. This book was educational to me and I learned so much about Indian culture. I am already anxious to read the next book in the series.
