Sierra Tate has been best friends with Boone Carey since childhood. She can’t imagine life without him.
After finally leaving the husband who cheated on her for the entirety of their marriage, she wants a change. Life in Cowboy Point with her best friend, helping him get his artisan dairy up and running, feels like the perfect way to figure out who she really is. After all, Boone is so sweet. So kind. She knows that he’ll let her live in the apartment above his barn forever, if she needs to. And maybe she does.
Boone has wanted Sierra for as long as he’s known her. Even after she married a man he never thought deserved her, he figured he’d rather have her as a friend than not have her at all. Getting to spend all day, every day with the woman he can’t have is challenging—but Boone is used to that kind of suffering. That’s okay. He loves her enough to be her friend forever and nothing more.
Until one night, everything changes.
Boone finally has the chance to introduce his best friend to the man he really is, the man he’s always been—the man who’s been in love with her since the day they met.
And he’s prepared to show her that as far as he’s concerned, they’ve always been made for each other.
One kiss at a time.
My Review:
A great addition to the Careys of Cowboy Point series.
Zeke Carey still pretends to be dying in order to get his boys to settle down, get married and have children. He won’t stop until he sees them all happily married.
In this book, we meet Boone, who has been in love with his best friend, Sierra Tate since seventh grade, even though she ended up marrying someone else. When Sierra finally has enough of her cheating husband and asks for a divorce, she turns to Boone, not just as a best friend, but in a way Boone never expected. But is it a rebound relationship or the real thing? I really enjoyed this book and seeing Boone and Sierra get their happily ever after, along with catching up with the rest of the Carey family.
