Review: The Wedding Con (Love is in the Air Book 2) by Janine Amesta

She doesn’t trust his charm. He’s determined to prove he’s not like the rest of his family.

Naomi Moreno has big plans for her family’s struggling High Desert Tours—plans her older sister keeps shutting down. After watching her father make one risky decision too many, Naomi’s committed to doing things right… and definitely not falling for smooth talkers with secret agendas.

Boone Reyes was raised by con artists. He’s worked hard to leave that world behind, aiming for a legit future—and a job as a rock climbing instructor could be the start. To win Naomi’s trust, he offers a deal: he’ll help her snag new wedding clients for the hot air balloon business if she trains with him on the rocks.

As business booms and their chemistry builds, Naomi starts to wonder if she misjudged Boone. But when his recently paroled father shows up, convinced Boone’s working a new con, everything they’ve built is at risk.

Can Boone prove he’s not the man his father raised? Or will Naomi walk away when love looks too much like a lie?

My Review:

This book was everything I was hoping it would be.

I enjoyed everything about this book.  It was sweet, passionate, funny and serious; everything I needed to make it an entertaining and unforgettable story.  It had a great plot and memorable characters.  I liked seeing how the story unfolded and Naomi and Boone got past the road blocks along the way to their happily ever after.

This heartwarming small-town romance collection includes three full-length novels set in the charming town of Marietta, Montana.

Newlyweds Amy and Chet Hardwick host a festive Christmas at Bramble House, where runaway bride Gemma Granger and Oliver Rivers, searching for his long-lost sister, find solace in each other. Their budding romance helps them heal old wounds, revealing that true love and family may be closer than they thought.

A Baby at Bramble House

As Amy and Chet Hardwick prepare for parenthood and manage a bustling Bramble House, guests like widowed geologist Edgar Keyes and librarian Mackenzie Sifton find unexpected love. When a medical crisis threatens the B&B, the guests unite, proving that Marietta’s community spirit can spark new beginnings.

My Review:

I can't get enough Bramble House books.

When it comes to good clean romances, look no further.  Each of these books can be read as a stand-alone, but they are even better when read in order.  With memorable characters, that you wish you knew in real life and great plots, these small town romances are some of my favorites.

Review: The Witch Wears Prada (Frosted Misfortunes Mysteries) by Lisa Siefert

Welcome to a SPOOKtacular Halloween in Clover Creek!

Ava’s long-lost missing cousin, Sakara Decker, is finally back—but is she?

After a post-breakup love potion goes completely wrong, Sakara wakes up with total and complete amnesia. Not only has she forgotten that she’s a witch, she also forgot that she has a talking cat. And the super ability to read minds of anyone she touches, including a would-be assassin.

Stopping a murder before it happens should be easy with the help of her cousin Ava and the local police, but it’s Halloween, and no one and nothing is as it seems.

This is a fun paranormal cozy mystery told from Sakara’s POV and includes a talking cat!

My Review:

A fun Halloween theme mystery.

I really enjoyed this story.  In the Frosted Misfortunes Mysteries books, we usually read about Ava and her cat Lucky solving crimes.  This book is about Ava’s cousin, Sakara, who is a witch with amnesia, along with her Cheesecake Factory loving familiar, a cat named Werewolf.  I read this book in one afternoon.  It was that good.  It was lighthearted, fun and interesting.  And I enjoyed having new characters added to the series.

Review: Rogue Cowboy (Montana’s Rodeo Cowboys) by Sinclair Jayne

She knows he’s wrong. He’s convinced he’s right. He’ll prove it with a kiss that reignites their past.

Texas Cowboy and former Special Forces soldier Cole Jameson isn’t just in Marietta for the Copper Mountain Rodeo to close a family business deal. He’s there to win the heart of the cowgirl he married in secret before deploying. He wanted to keep her safe and give her time to follow her dreams. But he always intended to return and make their marriage sizzle.

Horse Trainer Riley Telford always knew her hero, her fantasy Mr. Perfect, and savior would return and politely demand his freedom. She’ll graciously let him go because she can’t be the wife he deserves. Riley’s miles away from the vibrant, adventurous girl he fell in love with during a whirlwind weekend. But Cole’s confidence, relentless charm and soul-searing kisses fill her with a dangerous longing and a desperate hope.

It was a marriage of convenience, but as the rodeo competition races to the end, can Cole convince Riley their marriage can shine, or will her doubts and fears forever keep them apart?

My Review

An emotional secret marriage romance.

Six years ago, Special Forces Army Ranger, Cole Jameson, married country music singer, Riley Telford, to protect her and her reputation.  But Cole had an obligation to the government, that he couldn’t put off and he couldn’t stay with her.  Now, Cole is back to claim Riley, and hopefully pick up where they left off.  Has too much time passed for them to start a life together?  I really enjoyed this book and struggled to find a place to stop reading each night.  It is filled with so emotion and depth, but has an amazing happy ending.
