The invitation to visit his best friend at his new Texas digs is just what former rodeo champion turned Hollywood stuntman Tucker Culhane needs. When he and star Jackson Thorpe, worked together on a huge western hit, he’d enjoyed the life, but now Tucker’s at a career crossroads and missing home. But will returning to Texas open the door on the past he’s long avoided?
Police officer Emily Stratton loves protecting the citizens of her hometown, Last Stand, in Texas’ beautiful hill country. She was a huge fan of Tucker when he was on top of the leaderboard, but his reserve, humble spirit and kindness to a young boy intrigue her far more. Can she show Tucker that Last Stand can be the home and fresh start he’s been searching for?
Emily’s quick humor, warmth and golden eyes make Tucker forget his own name, but he’s all too familiar with the realities of police life, and the last thing he intends to do is fall for a cop….
My Review:
An entertaining cowboy romance.
When stuntman man, Tucker Culhane, decided to join his best friend, former Hollywood actor, Jackson Thorpe, in Texas, he thought he was just going for a visit. He had no idea he would come to love the small town of Last Stand and fall for police officers, Emily Stratton. Because of how Tucker was raised, he has some hesitations about committing to their relationship. With the help of his friends and local residents, Tucker learns to put the past behind him and move on with his life. This is a beautiful love story that I just couldn’t get enough of.
