Review: Their Surprise Island Wedding: (Hawaiian Reunions Book 2) by Anna J. Stewart

Could her fake boyfriend

Be her true love?

Her sister’s Hawaiian dream wedding is a nightmare for water-phobic, workaholic Marella Benoit—especially when a breakup leaves her without a plus-one. Laid-back surfer Keane Harper is a sun-bronzed distraction. From stargazing to zip-lining to snorkeling with manta rays, Keane is showing the big-city girl how to have fun. And posing as her boyfriend for the wedding may be the adventure of a lifetime—
together!

My Review:

From vacation fling to happily ever after.

A moment of madness leads to an unexpected fling.  After Marella breaks up with her boyfriend, she grabbed the first man she saw, Keane, a man she didn’t even know.  This leads to a friendship that quickly turns romantic.  But what will happen after Marella’s week in Hawaii is over?  I really enjoyed everything about this book.  The way Marella and Keane met was like straight out of a rom-com movie.  It was perfect.  I liked seeing them get to know each other and fall in love.  The book was so well written, I could easily visualize the scenes.  The Hawaii setting and family drama really added so much to this story as well.

Review: Snowball Unwrapped (Snowball #4) by Kristen McKanagh

Jocelyn Becker would do anything for her twin sister. Unfortunately, “anything” this time means taking Ilse’s place as host of tv’s Home & Hearth and filming five Christmas-themed episodes at the Victorian inn and shops of Weber Haus. Somehow, Jocelyn will have to convince the world—and her co-host, Ben—that she is Ilse, who can craft, cook, bake, sing, and skate. Jocelyn, however, cannot.

Snowball, the inn’s official greeter, is also having double trouble. The show has its own feline star, a Snowball-lookalike named Angel who’s more of a devil in disguise. Meanwhile, Snowball has noticed enough sparks between Ben and Jocelyn to light up a Christmas tree. But thanks to Jocelyn’s deception and Angel’s antics, this is going to be Snowball’s most challenging match yet.
Still, the holidays are made for mistletoe kisses, crackling fires, cozy evenings, and of course, sweet Snowball shenanigans . . .

My Review:

A light-hearted holiday story with a matchmaking cat.

Since I have read the other Snowball books, I couldn’t wait to read this one too.  In this book, Snowball is matchmaking co-stars of a reality show that is being filmed at Weber Haus.  But this time, there is a bit of a twist to the story and Snowball is left wondering if she is matchmaking the right couple.  The book is sweet with lots of fun and playful scenes and one great big secret.  This book is not just for people who love cats.  It’s for anyone who loves a good clean romance story.

Review: The Untold Story of Carol Bingley (The 85th Copper Mountain Rodeo Book 5) by Jane Hartley

Carol Bingley has a certain reputation in Marietta, Montana. She’s an infamous gossip and overly generous with her sharp opinions. But Carol’s been hiding a painful secret.

Forty years ago, sixteen-year-old high school student Carol Franklyn was madly in love with a bad boy cowboy with an irresistible smile, and sexy swagger. The day he asked her to meet him at the local hangout, the Main Street Diner, Carol thought all her dreams had come true. What she didn’t know was that she had become a pawn in a cruel and manipulative game that would spin her life painfully off course.

Now happily married to a man who loves her unconditionally, Carol finally is ready to share her painful past, but will she be believed? And can she be forgiven when she faces two of Marietta’s most powerful, tight-knit families?

Carol has lost so much. But this Christmas, she hopes she can find two puzzle pieces of her past, and sets out on a journey hoping she will finally be healed, not once again hurt.

My Review:

An emotional and heartfelt story.

If you are familiar with Tule Publishing’s Marietta based books, you definitely want to read this one.  This is the perfect companion book to all of the other books.  Heck, I would even recommend it if you’re not familiar with the other books.  Carol Bingley is known as the town gossip and most people avoid and dislike her.  But she has a good reason for the way she is and I totally understand her now.  She has redeemed herself in my eyes.  This book is highly emotional, so you better grab some tissues before you start reading it.  I hope the story will continue, as the ending left me curious about something else.
