Review: A Baby at Bramble House (Bramble House Chronicles Book 3) by CJ Carmichael

You never know who will be checking into Bramble House in the charming Montana town of Marietta…

B & B owners Amy and Chet Hardwick have their hands full. They’re fully booked, Chet’s new rodeo school is taking off, and they’re both trying to deal with their own complicated emotions about becoming first time parents. Meanwhile their guests are proving to be anything but relaxed.

Edgar Keyes, widowed geologist for the US Park Service in Yellowstone, has returned to Marietta to right an old wrong, but an unexpected attraction to Tami, one of two sisters at the B & B trying to repair their relationship, has him reevaluating his entire life..

Librarian Mackenzie Sifton is on a doctor-recommended vacation to recover from work-related trauma. She’s looking for relaxation, not romance. But when her car breaks down, passing motorist Craig Denton arrives to the rescue with a toolbox and a dinner invitation.

Romance is the air at Bramble House, but a medical emergency has Amy and Chet thinking they need to close. Their guests have other ideas.

Come join the guests at Bramble House in this heartwarming small-town romance that will take you on a journey of friendship, healing, love, and new beginnings.

My Review:

Love, healing and second chances.

Bramble House is a special place and one of my favorite locations in the Marietta books.  From the sweet owners and staff, to the guests who tend to find romance while staying there.  This book has several different stories woven into it.  Amy and Chet, the owners of Bramble House, will soon be first time parents.  They are still learning the ins and outs of running a B&B and are now doing so while trying to prepare for their baby to arrive.  Guests, Mackenzie, Edgar and sisters, Tami and Shari, all arrived with different agendas, but leave with so much more than they expected.  Bramble House is truly a life changing place for all who visit.  This book has a great plot and wonderful characters that make it a memorable book.

Review: Sworn to Serve (Sworn Navy SEALs Book 4) by Charlee James

Grief locked his heart. Can she hold the key?

Navy SEAL Archer “Silver” Ross has watched his teammates fall in love ignoring his twinges of envy. After a childhood tragedy, he’s only let his team close. But when he meets his teammate’s twin sister, she wakens a part of him he thought long dead. Addison Desmond is warm and adventurous and everything he never knew he wanted, and is afraid to lose, yet he resists her lure knowing her protective brother will never approve.

Addison survived a childhood in the Alaskan bush where she and her brother relied on their wits and each other to survive. Her work studying indigenous cultures continues to fascinate, but lately she’s craving stability. Meeting the sexy, brooding Asher is a revelation. The pull between them is exciting, and when she’s tasked to accompany his SEAL team on a crucial mission as an expert civilian consultant, their bond deepens.

The chemistry scorches, and Addy’s falling hard. Can she convince Asher to take a leap of faith so they can grasp the future they want?

My Review:

A great addition to the Sworn Navy SEALS series.

An amazing story filled with romance, suspense, action and unexpected twists and turns.  I enjoyed seeing Addison and Silver’s relationship grow.  I also enjoyed catching up with characters from the previous books in the series.

Review: The Undercover Cowboy (Sweethearts of the Rodeo Book 3) by Jamie K. Schmidt

When a by-the-book investigator enlists the help of a rule-bending extrovert, explosive passion was not the plan.

Nash Miller, far from a seasoned bull rider, dons a cowboy hat for an undercover mission to expose the corrupt CEO of the United Professional Rodeo Circuit. Dolly Keller has the tough job of making Nash an online sensation while keeping his true identity under wraps – a challenge that’s as risky as a bull ride. Nash navigates the treacherous terrain of deception but finds his attraction to his partner is the true high-stakes gamble.

Dolly thrives under pressure, but she has a secret that could unravel everything–her life, her career, and the unexpected love blossoming between her and Nash. She wants to confide, but knows he’s bound by a strict moral code, that could derail their mission.

As the investigation reaches a fever pitch, Nash must confront the rules that define him in order to protect the woman who’s brightened his world, while Dolly must confront the shadows from her past.

My Review:

A high energy read.

This fast paced story takes place in the rodeo circuit and behind closed doors of the UPRC’s office.  There is a corrupt CEO and it’s up to former FBI agent, turned private investigator, Nash Weaver to find out what’s going on.  He teams up with Dolly Keller, the UPRC’s social media expert, to solve the case.  In the process of working together, they discover they are also good together as a couple.

I read this book in record time.  I was anxious to see how it turned out.  It is a great addition to the Sweethearts of the Rodeo series.
