Synopsis:
When the only thing worth fighting for is love …
There are two things ex-boxer and casino tycoon Rey Doyle is an expert in: fighting and gambling. He trusts no-one, but he needs a fiancé to help seal a business deal and part-time casino waitress Kate Wilkinson agrees to the pretence.
Kate is on a mission to expose Rey Doyle for the pitiless criminal he is, but the more she learns about Rey and his past, the more she begins to admire the man. When the chance to bring him down arrives will she take it? Or will this bad boy claim her heart instead?
My Review:
Out for revenge, Kate Wilkinson will go as far as she has to
in order to bring down Rey Doyle after her brother is seriously injured in one
of his fight clubs. Kate goes undercover
as a waitress at a bar in one of Rey’s casinos to get the real story on Rey and
expose him for the illegal fighting he promotes.
Rey learned early on in life to fight for what you
want. Starting out as a boxer, he has
worked hard for his money. He is now the
owner of four casinos, two in London and two in Las Vegas. He is in the process of opening another in
Macau.
Rey is advised he needs to present a respectable image to
the clients from Macau when they are in town to discuss the new casino. Having a woman in his life would be a big
benefit right now. But he has never been
known to keep any woman around for very long.
This is where Kate comes in and Rey asks her to pose as his girlfriend
during the meetings.
Rey has never met a woman like Kate before. She intrigues him and he needs to know more
about her. What will happen when Rey
finds out the truth about Kate?
As total opposites, it was interesting to watch Kate and
Rey’s love grow. Lots of passion and
excitement fill the pages of this book.
